Humanity in every garment

Ethical Edit specialises in the sourcing and production of high quality, sustainable and organic clothing. As a Fairtrade Certified business, we’re passionate about creating conscious fashion that makes a difference ... to the wearer and to the world.

Fashion that's fairer

Founded by experienced product sourcing consultant, Juliana Yelavich, Ethical Edit is deeply committed to strong ethical standards, greater social responsibility, and supporting the wellbeing of workers and their communities. To that end, we’re thrilled to have become Fairtrade Certified.

We source the best:
we edit out the rest

At Ethical Edit, our mantra is ‘humanity in every garment’ and everything we do reflects that. We work closely with a network of suppliers in developing countries such as India, Nepal and Bolivia to produce high quality, ethically sourced products for retailers in New Zealand, Australia and beyond - including fully traceable, organic clothing.

Our vision is to bring ethics to product sourcing, dignity and fair wages to workers, showcase the makers’ spirit and skills, and above all, create real social change in the fashion industry.

With production principles founded on design excellence and responsible resource management, and Fairtrade Certification, we love to work with like-minded companies. Those who believe in putting people and planet first, treating suppliers with respect and integrity, and making the fashion world a fairer place.

Meet Juliana Yelavich: our ethically minded founder

With many years of fashion product sourcing and production experience under my belt for major New Zealand and Australian brands, I’ve chosen to pursue my passion and concentrate primarily on ethical sourcing.

With a strong focus on product development and sourcing, I specialise in working with factories in emerging countries and forging strong relationships with suppliers and buyers alike. My extensive experience as a business owner is combined with a creative eye and love of details, a ‘hands on’ mindset and an extensive network of industry contacts.

My business was originally born out of my love of fashion and travel: today, it follows my belief in all things ethical. Ethical Edit stands for so much more than sourcing clothing that’s beautiful or beautifully made; it’s about changing lives and improving humanity with every garment.
